Saturday Aug 30th is Game Day! Volunteers are needed to help organize the games. Please call Dee, lot # 111 or the Sales/Rental Office if you’d like to help! Games listed below:

Turtle Bike Race - poolside parking area
How slow can you go! Last one to the finish line wins! Feet on the
ground and you’re disqualified!
Need 2 people; timekeeper and observer.
Ages: 6 and under, 7 -11, 12 – 16.
Musical Hula Whoops - tennis courts
Hula to the music and keep it up til’ the music stops!
Need 2 people: music controller and organizer
Ages: 11 and under, 12-16, 17-39, 40 and over
Water Balloon Toss - tennis courts
A Big Bear Shores Classic! You know what to do!
Need 3 people: organizer, record keeper, monitor
Ages: 6 and under, 7 -11, 12 – 16, 17 and up. Open
Golf Cart Obstacle Course – poolside parking
How good are your directions! Driver is blindfolded and the passenger gives directions. Shortest time wins!

Big Bear Shores is invited to take a sunset cruise of beautiful Big Bear Lake on Big Bear's newest double decker touring vessel: Miss Liberty.
We'll board at about 6pm at Pine Knot Landing for a 2 hour cruise complete with complimentary appetizers and sodas, no host beer and wine. We've reserved the top deck and will be entertained with the stories and legends of past residents/homes and visitors to the area. You don't want to miss it!
The cost is only $10 per person 10 yrs and up, 9 and under free. Sign up at the sales office. Reservations are required.
The Back Porch Band

The Back Porch Band on the deck Saturday night was evening of music and fun! All enjoyed the banjo pickin', fiddlin' and bass playin'. We even got to sing along on a few! My good ol' Dad even made me get up and dance a few toe-stompin' cloggin steps! And at 6700 feet - that's work! It was a beautiful evening, and the band had a great time! Thanks for joining us!
Golf Car Obstacle Course WINNERS!!

1st PLACE - Richardson/Carnine, with a time of 59 seconds
2nd PLACE - Collurafici/Chank, with a time of 1 minute & 5 seconds
3rd PLACE - Ballantyne/Freeman, with a time of 1 minute & 18 seconds

In honor of Independence Day, Big Bear Shores is holding its annual Chili Cook-off & Lot Decorating Contest! Here's a run-down of the festivities:
Friday, July 4 ~
9am - Golf Cart/Bike Decorating Contest @ Launch Ramp
10am - Golf Cart/Bike Parade @ Entire Park
12pm - Ice Cream Social @ Docks
2-4pm - 4th of July BBQ @ Clubhouse Deck
9pm - Fireworks Spectacular @ Lakeside
Saturday, July 5 ~
1-4pm - Chili Cook-Off/Lot Decorating Contest @ Entire Park
6:30pm - Awards Ceremony/Ice Cream Social @ Clubhouse Deck
It's not too late to join in the fun! Chili cookers still have time to sign up in the Sales/Rental Office. All "tasters" are required to wear a wristband to participate. Please visit the Office to order your wristbands.

The Sales/Rental Office has added a new member to our team!
In addition to Mandi & Tiffany, please welcome Bob Poole. A licensed real estate Broker & Agent for almost fifty years, Bob will be managing the Sales & Leasing Office seven days a week throughout the summer. Bob is an avid RV enthusiast & is looking forward to being a part of this wonderful resort & working with the owners, HOA, & renters.
You will still see Mike & I assisting Bob throughout the summer months, working on sales & giving tours. We also have several great events planned & will be available when needed.
With Bob's assistance, Mike & I hope to spend more time enjoying our lot, the lake, the mountain, & spending quality time with many of you.

Daytona 500 Pot Luck

Snow! Snow! Snow!

We are now getting snow in the valley! It is picturesque and more snow is predicted on the way. Please use extreme caution when traveling the mountain roads and carry chains at all times. The resorts are now open so skiing is superb! On several occasions a mountain lion has been spotted moving through the park for access to the lake. The local rangers are aware of the cat and feel it poses no direct threat. However, as with any wildlife, caution and common sense are critical to your safety, as well as your children and your pets. Happy Holidays to everybody from Mike, Terri, Tracy, and Pam.
Butler #2 Fire Update

As you all know the Butler #2 Fire has been burning near the area since Friday, September 14, 2007. The containment on the fire as of Wednesday, September 19th is at 86%. The firefighters, helicopters, and all the personnel are doing an extraordinary job. Please rest assured, Big Bear Shores is not threatened by the fire and we are all doing fine. We appreciate all of the phone calls from everyone checking on us and the park. Maybe we will get some of that much needed precipitation they are calling for this weekend. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

The owners log in section of the website is not being used at this time. It is set up for the Board of Directors and the General Manager to keep the owners updated on items that effect the owners.
